OUR STORY

Being a Primary School Teacher was always a passion of mine. I love children, especially the way they learn. I always found teaching Kindergarten to be the most rewarding.

During the last few years of my teaching, I started noticing that many children were entering Kindergarten lacking a certain amount of necessary skills. Some lacked social skills or the ability to express their ideas/opinions in a classroom environment, others were unable to sit long enough to complete a task, a few were having difficulty holding a pencil, and others just found the basics of literacy and numeracy very challenging.

With such a difficult economic climate right now, many parents are forced to either go back to work, or work longer hours. The time spent with their children reading books or doing puzzles has become hard to find. This is nobody's fault, it’s simply the reality of life right now.

I decided to open up Tightrope Learning to bridge the gap between Preschool and Kindergarten. It has now become a way in which children are encouraged to develop the necessary skills to become confident and happy learners, who are able to make new friends when they enter Kindergarten and are given the best chance when commencing their learning journey.

WE'D LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN OUR CLASSROOM!

The Saturday classes also include children from K-2 who may need a little extra help with their school readers or sight words. Many of these children are past kids I had in my previous years who just like to come back on the weekends.
